Momchil Atanasoff

All though is not our actual first concert , i consider this performance as our premiere. It is going to be a part of the Full moon concert, happening every month at the World Music and Dance Center in Rotterdam.

A bit about the band and its development :It took me long time to find the right people , but it was

worth it to the last second,because i have the pleasure to play with this amazing musicians,and not only this but perform my own music with them in the way i always wanted to - powerful and energetic,but in the same time gentle and soft, either way - played with enthusiasm and commitment.A bit more about the history of the band - Juri Shewe (Drums),was one of the first persons i met when i came to Rotterdam,at the introduction week of Codarts academy.From the beginning we understood that we have a similar taste for music and view about the music,and how it must be done,so we decided to start a project. It was a tough job finding a electric bass player ,but after months playing with or without bass, working on the concept, the sound etc. we met Raylemon Janga-amazing guy from Curacao,who was The guy we needed- amazing ears,powerful sound and incredible playing.Finally we've got the trio working,rehearsing and arranging the tunes,an endless process of developing , which involved lately also Octavio Fanes- tenor sax player coming from Spain,full of energy and creativity person,who brought us even more power and completed our wall of sound with the last details needed.

About the music.....the hardest question i can get is : " can you describe what kind of music you play ? "Well,the truth is that there is no simple answer to this question,our music contains elements of variety of different styles- jazz,classical music,traditional bulgarian music,electronic music,rock,pop,and many others.The tunes have quite complex arrangements,often changing odd meters,and moods inside the tune ,but complexity is always an side effect of the music but not the purpose of it.It is only the way of expression , nothing more - if it is a simple chord progression repeating on and on or complex piece with several parts doesn't really matter- we play what we feel.

Sooooo,i think i spoke enough for the moment,I hope to see you at the performance,so you can hear and decide for yourself what kind of music it is - I hope it is going to be Your kind
